2EL5 cabs have been sent to the customer.

The project of freight service mainline electric locomotive 2EL5 has been completed by sending two cabs to the customer. The modular concept of electric locomotive cab (with butt joints fastening to the basic platform) was developed and manufactured for the first time in the CIS.
PKPP MDC performed a full cycle of design and construction work, the full-scale mockup was
constructed, and then two locomotive cabs equipped with the operator control desks were produced at MDC workshop.
The project has been developed under the UIC-651 European standards in the field of space and ergonomics.
