The meeting of Ukraine-Vietnam intergovernmental commission.

The eighth joint meeting of Ukraine-Vietnam commission on trade, economic, science and technical cooperation took place in Kiev on 28-29 of August 2006. Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine A.Berezny was a head of Ukrainian delegation. General Director of PKPP MDC I.Telichko participated in the wok of the commission as the member of Ukrainian delegation. The Vietnamese part of the Commission was headed by Le Zan Vin - the Deputy Minister of Trade of Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
In order to activate the cooperation in the field of railway transport the Ukrainian party offered the Vietnamese party to consider the possibilities of developing cooperation in Vietnam passenger coaches fleet refurbishment, locomotive repair and the infrastructure of Vietnam state railways modernization. The Vietnam party approved the initiative and offered the Ukrainian party to consider the possibilities of issuing credit to Vietnam railway industry for those matters. The clause on parties’ intentions to develop the cooperation in the sphere of railway transport has been introduced to the final protocol of commission meeting.
